We would like to highlight the agility and flexibility with which the implementation of the system was done. We are now able to show our customers all the information in one place. The idea for next year is to bring Loyal to all our business units.

TIERRA DE ARANDANOS

DANIEL NAVARRO

Head of Quality Assurance at Tierra de Arándanos

TIERRA DE ARÁNDANOS

In this opportunity, we share with you the experience of one of our new clients: Tierra de Arándanos. The company is part of Grupo Marcos Paz, dedicated to the sustainable production of goods and services committed to quality.

Although the core business is fresh blueberries, the company has two of its own packing houses and a freezing plant. The latter works with Individual Quick Freezing technology, which guarantees that the product retains its texture, nutritional value and flavour. For preservation, the use of this process ensures that the products do not need any chemicals or preservatives and that, due to the abrupt change in temperature, the presence of micro-organisms is reduced.

Through a meeting with Daniel Navarro, Head of Quality Assurance, we were able to find out how the process of implementing the DMS and QMS modules worked out for the company.

Daniel tells us that, at the beginning of the pandemic, Tierra de Arándanos relied on an external service of quality professionals to manage all its processes. As the volume of documents grew, the need for greater organisation and efficiency began to emerge.

Before we implemented Loyal, we did everything on paper. First of all, we needed to digitise all this information in software. In addition, we needed to unify everything in one system, i.e. all the documentation relating to the two packaging and the freezer plant.

The search for a tool came naturally as Daniel did not even have to look for references.

It just so happened that I was doing a course on BRC implementation when an implementer told me that there was a company in Cordoba that used Loyal and had excellent references. On the other hand, Danilo, our administrative manager, also received very good references. I didn’t have to think about it much.

As the company is continuously growing, the managers approved the project to implement a management system. The aim was to foster innovation and teamwork to cope with change processes and thus provide a differentiating experience for their clients.

The implementation of the system was great. Throughout the whole process they were always available, we even scheduled a demo with the sales representative for a Saturday. The consultant, Lucila, is a real genius, she was very patient and explained perfectly how the tool works.

Daniel told us that the company is also seeking certification to the BRC Standard, which applies to any food processing, handling or packaging process where there is a risk of contamination. For this reason, they needed to quickly implement a system that would allow them to have all the documentation centralised and organised.

The aim of the standard is to ensure the food safety of the products we find on the market by establishing requirements that certify food safety.

Loyal Solutions enables the implementation, automation and maintenance of any Food Safety Management System facilitating legal compliance, improving the level of process control and also minimising the main food risks and their associated costs.

We aim to certify in December this year and we wanted to do it with the right management system. With the whole Loyal team and Bernarda, our external consultant, we were able to get everything up and running quickly.

From Loyal Solutions we would like to thank the entire Tierra de Arándanos team for choosing us to accompany them in their continuous improvement process. We will continue working to meet your expectations.
