Manisel is an Argentine company specializing in the production, processing, and commercialization of peanuts. Founded in 1997, it operates one confectionery peanut selection plant and three blanched peanut plants in Pasco, Córdoba, with almost all of its production exported.

THE CHALLENGE

An auditor’s recommendation, and a growing list of standards

Before LOYAL, Manisel managed documentation through Word and Excel files in shared folders. During a BRCGS audit, the auditor recommended moving to dedicated software to better organize documentation and streamline the process. With multiple standards and certifications to maintain, the company needed to centralize everything in one system.

THE PROJECT

Recommended twice, and already familiar with the platform

Manisel evaluated several solutions proposed by the auditor. Sofía was already in touch with a LOYAL sales representative and familiar with the system, and received strong references from the Quality team at Elcor S.A., an existing LOYAL client. “It’s definitely not the same to implement a platform that’s been on the market for years compared to one that’s just been developed,” she notes. The company selected LOYAL and implemented DMS and QMS, with KPI planned as a future addition.

THE SOLUTION

One platform for a wide range of standards

LOYAL gives Manisel a centralized platform for documentation tied to its different standards and certifications. The company expects to manage more than 3,000 documents in LOYAL, covering ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, BRCGS, Kosher and Halal certifications (which support access to religious dietary-compliant markets), SMETA social auditing, and sustainability documentation.

Replacing Word and Excel

LOYAL replaces shared Word and Excel files with a dedicated document-management platform. That gives Manisel a more structured way to manage documentation in a company where nearly all production is exported and every certification has to hold up to scrutiny.
