Today, Loyal Solutions presents a new testimony with Manisel, a company dedicated to the planting, harvesting and marketing of peanuts. It currently has a confectionary peanut selection plant and three blanched peanut plants located in the town of Pasco, Province of Cordoba, Argentina.

Manisel was founded in 1997 as a company dedicated to the production, industrialisation and commercialisation of peanut confectionery. Since its beginnings it has been building work structures, training personnel, incorporating new technologies, designing commercial strategies that have allowed it to become one of the main peanut exporters in Argentina.

The company aims to promote continuous improvement and innovation to achieve the highest quality of the products they offer. In order to accomplish this, they incorporate new technologies and new working methods, as well as training and integral development of their staff.

Sofía Pucci, Quality and Management System Manager at Manisel, tells us via video call how the Loyal Solutions system contributes to the process of continuous improvement.

The idea of implementing a management system arose from the need to organise the documentation of the different areas of the company. Sofía tells us that they used to manage documents in word and excel files, in shared folders.

During a BRCGS audit, the auditor recommended us to migrate to a software so that we can better organise the documentation and make the process more streamlined. As we are certified with different standards, we needed to centralise everything in one system.

With the Loyal Solutions system, Manisel can manage the documentation related to the different standards and certifications in a more agile and efficient way. The company is certified and implements the ISO 9001:2015 standard, the HACCP system and the BRCGS standard.

Moreover, taking into account that the company exports almost 100% of its products, it also has the Kosher Certification and the Halal Certificate.

Kosher products are those that are prepared according to Jewish dietary standards, which are permissible for consumption, as they meet the dietary requirements of the Hebrew Bible. Both the permitted foods and their preparations are regulated. Having this certification allows the company to market its products in a market that is constantly growing. More and more companies in the food industry are looking for a Kosher Certification, as it is a guarantee in any part of the world, due to the exhaustive control it has.

Halal certification is the process by which the manufacturing method of a product is verified to determine whether its ingredients and the process followed in its manufacture comply with what is permitted in the religious doctrines of Islam. In addition, the existence of good handling practices that prevent cross-contamination with non-permitted products is controlled. This certification facilitates the opening of new Muslim markets. Any company wishing to export its products to Arab countries in the Middle East, Africa and Asia will be able to do so if it has this certification.

Additionally, Manisel S.A. is also a member of SEDEX and has certified SMETA, a social auditing procedure that is widely used today. It brings together the best practices of different techniques and methods of ethical auditing and offers the vision to assess the activities of responsible supply chains, taking into account labour rights, environment, safety and health, without forgetting business ethics.

In order to ensure the correct management of their documents, they began their search for software. Sofia told us that they received a recommendation for our system from an external auditor and from one of our clients, Elcor S.A.

We evaluated different solutions proposed by the auditor. We were already in contact with one of your sales representatives, Matías, so I was already familiar with the system and the way it worked. On the other hand, I received very good references from the Elcor S.A. quality people, which is why we decided to move forward with Loyal Solutions.

We are very satisfied with the work of the consultants, Lucila and Cecilia, and with the help desk. The training process was excellent. Everything we asked for was solved. We already have the administration of the system to upload all the documentation to Loyal.
