From Loyal Solutions we are pleased to present a new case of success with one of our clients: Ledevit, a company dedicated to the development and marketing of products for confectionery and bakery.

With more than 50 years of experience and a lot of effort from the whole company, Ledevit aims to continue building a solid, healthy and sustainable organization over time; promoting the welfare, development, growth and participation of all its members.

Ledevit seeks to strengthen and improve day by day the image and identity of its brand, generating greater consumer confidence by updating and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System, adhering to international standards. This is why the management of all the processes involved is extremely important.

On this occasion, we met with Andrea Escudero and Sofía Magro, responsible for quality management, so that they could tell us about their experience with Loyal.

At the beginning of 2018, the company was at a critical moment, they were starting the certification process and needed to have all their documentation organised. That’s when they started to consider the idea of implementing a document and quality management software.

We didn’t have a management system, it was all very traditional. We had the idea of getting certified at the end of the year and we analysed all the advantages of having such a software. It was a last-minute decision to contract a system because we considered that it would speed up the process a lot.

Once the decision to implement a system was made, they began the search and evaluation of various centralisation systems that would allow for both document management and quality assurance. In addition, due to the pressure of certification, Ledevit needed to get the software up and running quickly, with all the necessary documentation uploaded.

We selected a couple of companies and met for a demo with each of them. We were looking for something simple and intuitive that could be managed at any level of the organisation. We chose Loyal because the system was a perfect fit for our need at the time.

Andrea and Sofía told us that the need for certification arose because, in an internal audit, one of their main clients demanded that they comply with the requirements of the FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) Standard. FSSC 22000 is a food safety certification system based on the internationally recognised ISO 22000 standard, complemented by technical standards such as ISO TS 22002-1 for food manufacturing and ISO TS 22002-2 for packaging manufacturing.

Food safety plays a fundamental role in ensuring safety at every stage of the food chain. At Ledevit, the concept of food safety has grown and evolved, becoming part of the everyday language of everyone in the company. In order to guarantee their clients the best quality in their products, at the beginning of 2018 it hired Loyal Solutions to accompany them in this certification process.

We started with the Loyal implementation process in January 2018. In the same year we had the two stages of audits for FSSC 22000 certification. We successfully passed both of them and the auditor highlighted our work. Seeing the change with the implemented system gave them a sign that there is a will to grow and improve on the part of the company.

The organisation considers internal and external communication as a relevant and essential tool to build and achieve the proposed objectives. Being an SME, it is necessary that all areas are involved and committed to manage their processes and thus achieve continuous improvement.

With more than 140 employees and more than 300 documents created in Loyal, Ledevit manages documents and quality for all areas of your organisation, including the General Management. HR, Production, Sales, Commercial, Quality and Purchasing manage their processes and documents with Loyal Solutions software.

As an SME, our idea has always been that each sector of the organisation manages its own documentation. From the management area, what we do is to publish monthly reports on the status of each of the areas in terms of their documentation. Then we develop indicators for better monitoring.

In the midst of the COVID19 pandemic, Andrea and Sofia assure us that employees working from home can access the system without any problems, being able to perform all related activities.

The fact that we could access the system from anywhere and from any device made our work much easier. It would not have been possible otherwise. It was a great advantage for us to have an online system and all our information uploaded to the cloud.

For our part, we set out to pay great attention to resolving all of our clients’ queries. Incidents are handled through a ticket tracking tool provided by our company. Andrea and Sofia told us about their experience with the help desk.

We are pleased with the support team. Whenever we have had issues, we have raised them and we always get a quick and concrete response.
